Welsh Hills

Cadair Idris is the chair of a giant who is said to have used it as one, and legend has it that anyone who sleeps a night on the summit wakes either a poet or a madman. Pen y Fan is the highest ground in southern Britain and the hill the Special Forces march over on selection.

Neither clears 3,000 feet. Both are better days out than most hills that do.
