Terms of service

Terms of service

Last updated: [27/08/26]

These terms cover your use of cairnpress.co.uk and any order you place with us. By ordering you accept them. Please read them; they do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Who we are

Cairn Press, [51 aursbrige drive], United Kingdom. Email: [deli.simply7896@gmial.com]

Ordering

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract exists only when we send you a dispatch confirmation — not when you receive the order acknowledgement.

We may decline an order. Reasons include the item being unavailable, a pricing or description error, or our being unable to obtain payment authorisation. If we decline after you have paid, we refund you in full.

Price and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and include any tax due. Delivery is charged separately and shown at checkout before you pay.

We are not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged and none is recoverable on these purchases.

If we spot an obvious pricing error before dispatch, we will contact you and give you the choice of paying the correct price or cancelling for a full refund. We will not simply take the higher amount.

Payment is taken at the point of order through Shopify Payments.

Products

Every print is made to order. Because screens vary and paper is not backlit, the colour and tone of a print may differ slightly from what you see on your device. Contour artwork is generated from Ordnance Survey elevation data; minor differences between our rendering and any particular map edition are inherent to the process and are not a defect.

Heights and coordinates shown on product pages follow published Ordnance Survey and National Trust for Scotland figures. Where a hill has been resurveyed and sources disagree by under a metre, we use the figure walkers commonly know.

Frame timber is a natural material; grain and tone vary between pieces.

Delivery

See our Delivery page. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees, though your statutory rights apply if delivery is unreasonably late.

Cancellation and returns

See our Returns page, which sets out your 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.

Intellectual property

All artwork, text, photographs and the site design are owned by Cairn Press or used under licence. Buying a print buys you the physical object for personal use. It does not transfer copyright and does not permit reproduction, resale as a print, or commercial use of the image.

Contour data is derived from Ordnance Survey open data under the Open Government Licence. Ordnance Survey is a trademark of Ordnance Survey Limited; we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Ordnance Survey. Hill names are used descriptively.

Do not scrape, mirror or resell our catalogue or imagery.

Liability

We are liable to you for foreseeable loss and damage caused by our breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill.

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — this includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for breach of your legal rights in relation to the goods.

We are not liable for business losses. The products are supplied for domestic and private use.

Events outside our control

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by something beyond our reasonable control. If such an event delays your order we will contact you, and you may cancel and receive a full refund if the delay is substantial.

Complaints

Email [deli.simply7896@gmial,com]. We aim to reply within two working days. If we cannot resolve things, you may refer the matter to an alternative dispute resolution provider or contact Citizens Advice on 0808 223 1133.

General

We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published when you ordered. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest continue to apply. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in your own courts.
