Scale drawing above a 2 m sofa. Dashed lines show the other sizes. Illustrative only.

Also called Saddleback, which describes the shape and undersells the thing entirely. Five ridges run south off the summit, and Sharp Edge on the north-east is the most serious scramble in the northern Lakes — polished slate that turns lethal when wet. The hill was put up for sale in 2014 with an asking price of £1.75 million.

Original contour artwork drawn from elevation data, with soft shaded relief. The summit is marked with a small triangle and its height, and eleven ridgeline slices through the ground sit above the name.

Printed to order on museum-quality matte paper: 250 gsm, 0.29 mm thick and acid-free, with a natural off-white, uncoated surface.

Choose 30 × 40, 50 × 70 or 70 × 100 cm. Supplied unframed; frames and hanging hardware are not included.

Standard UK delivery is included in the price.

The lines under the name

Eleven slices through the ground around the summit, taken west to east and stacked far to near. Each line is the real shape of Blencathra along that slice, drawn from the same elevation data as the contours above.

What makes the paper special?

A substantial 250 gsm sheet, 0.29 mm thick, with a naturally off-white, uncoated matte surface. It is acid-free archival paper, selected to complement fine contour artwork.

Which size is right for me?

30 × 40 cm suits a quiet corner or a shelf. 50 × 70 cm fills a favourite space above a desk or sideboard. 70 × 100 cm is a statement piece with a room of its own.

Every print is supplied unframed in a standard size, so it fits ready-made 30 × 40, 50 × 70 and 70 × 100 cm frames from most high-street shops. No trimming needed.

How does it arrive?

Your print is made to order and sent rolled in a sturdy postal tube, which keeps the corners and surface safe on the way. To flatten it, unroll it print side up on a clean table, lay a sheet of paper over it and rest a few heavy books on top overnight. It will then sit flat in a frame.

Delivery and returns

Standard UK delivery is included in all three print prices. Prints are made to order and usually arrive within 4–7 working days; busy periods can take a little longer. You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind. See our delivery and returns policies for the details.
